Un créneau à développer pour la promotion au Maroc

Le tourisme écologique et environnemental se veut actuellement un créneau prometteur à développer, afin de permettre la promotion du secteur touristique au Maroc, a affirmé Abderrazak Benchaâbane, botaniste et fondateur du Festival de l'art du jardin.

S'exprimant lors d'un point de presse tenu, jeudi à Marrakech, dans le cadre des préparatifs de la 2e édition du Festival de l'art du jardin (10 au 13 avril à Marrakech), M. Benchaâbane a fait savoir qu'il est temps de développer cette activité au Maroc compte tenu de sa proximité géographique des principaux marchés émetteur, mais également d'une demande de plus en plus importante en la matière.

TOURISM: MOROCCO; TOURISTS UP 14% IN 2007 COMPARED TO 2006

A total 6.3 million tourists visited Morocco between January and the end of October 2007. It is revealed by a research of the African Development Bank and of the Economic Organisation for Cooperation and Development, Moroccan news agency MAP reported today. An increase of the tourist visits by 14% was registered in 2007 compared to the previous year. This increase allowed the incomes growth in the sector by 13%, equal to 4.3 billion euro, compared to 3.75 billion euro in the same period of 2006.

RABAT - Three countries of the Maghreb, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, are looking at ways of softening the impact of the recession in the global economy on their tourism sectors, even though each is being affected in a different way [...] Meanwhile, in Morocco, there is a little more optimism in the air. RABAT - The Moroccan Minister of Tourism and Handcrafts, Mohamed Boussaid announced, during the 9th national meeting on tourism in Saidia, that over 60,000 new jobs will be created in the country's hotel sector by the end of 2012. The Minister, quoted by press agency MAP, said that new manpower is mainly required in the areas of Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz, Tangers-Tetouan, Oriental and Souss-Massa-Draa. TOURISM: MOROCCO, -14.4% IN JAN-JUNE 2009

RABAT - In the first six months of 2009, tourism revenues in Morocco dropped by 14.4%, from 24.4 to 20.90 billion dirhams (from 2.14 to 1.83 billion euros). According to the Observatory on Tourism, lower revenues were seen despite the fact that in the same period travellers reached a total of 3.5 million, 9% more than in 2008. Yet once again the French were in the first place, followed by the Spanish, Belgians, Germans, the British and Italians. The statistics of the Observatory show that the international economic crisis has not halted tourists from coming, but only that they are opting to stay for shorter periods. The number of nights stayed in Moroccan hotels was at 7.8 million, -3% compared with 2008.

TOURISM: MOROCCO; +6% TOURIST NUMBERS IN 2009, REVENUE -5%

RABAT - The number of tourists who visited Morocco in 2009 hit 8.34 million, with an increase of 6% on 2008. The news was announced by the Moroccan Tourism Observatory. The French were in first place with 3.1 million visitors (+4%), followed by the Spanish with 1.8 million (+10%). 318,000 Italians chose Morocco for their holidays with an increase of 11% on the previous year. Even if only slight, the number of nights suffered a drop of 1%: 16.2 million against 16.4 in 2008. A more consistent drop of 5% was found in the revenue of 52.8 billion dirham, equal to 4.6 billion euros.

es wäre schon interessant, die tatsächlichen und nicht geschönten Zahlen zu kennen.

...aber ich würde mal "mit Ach & Krach" auf 3, irgendwas Millionen Touristen tippen, d.h. gezählt werden nur nicht-marokkanische Touristen (also keine Immigrées) & auch keine LKW-Fahrer, die ständig rein- & rausfahren.

Mohammed VI. will halt seine "2010=10 millions touristes"-Parole "einhalten"...wer Marokko & dessen Tourismus gut kennt, der weiss, das dass für die kommenden Jahre ein Wunschtraum bleibt.

PS: Nicht geschönte Zahlen gibt es nicht, aber außer in Marrakech läuft es in anderen Tourismusecken (wie z.B. Agadir) eher schlecht als recht.
