ARCHEOLOGY: TURKEY; FOSSILS OLDER THAN 500,000 YEARS FOUND

ANKARA - Excavations carried out in a marble travertine mine in the town of Kocabas in the Aegean city of Denizlìs Honaz district discovered fossils of human arm bones, seahorses, crocodile and crabs older than 500,000 years. According to Turkish Daily News the municipality is keeping the fossils under protection in order to show them to other scientists.
