5000 websites in the hands of Al-Qaeda and terror groups worldwide

Terror and armed groups worldwide get access to more than 5000 websites to post their communiqués and operations as well as launching psychic war against different governments, a report conducted by the US State Department said.
The same report mentioned that the half of the current violent groups used to own their own websites in 1998, while in 1999, the majority of them managed getting access to internet. Yet, a new internet tracking research, conducted by the US State Department concluded that more than 5000 websites have been available for terror and armed groups worldwide, until later in 2007.
The same US report further concluded that internet has become the most secured virtual refuge for Al-Qaeda Organization and all its branches, including the one in the Maghreb. It pointed out that terror groups use internet efficiently to post their messages and communiqués without being recognized.
