BEIRUT - After the nearly 30% increase of the fuel prices in Lebanon, the price of the bread in the Land of the Cedars also risks skyrocketing and in many bakeries in Beirut the price of one kilogramme of bread is 25% higher as of today. The local media reported that numerous bakeries decided to increase their prices from 1,500 to 2,000 Lebanese pounds (some 0.75 euro) for one loaf of bread, equivalent to 1,250 grammes.
