Polio virus samples stolen in car hijacking

A shipment of potentially infectious polio virus has gone missing in a car hijacking in South Africa. The Centre for Communicable Diseases deputy director Adrien Puren says the hijackers were most likely unaware that the box contained stool samples being sent to the research lab for testing for the polio virus.
