EGYPT: FIRST MAP FOR ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES CREATED

ALEXANDRIA - The Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Antiquities, has decided to create an atlas for tourist landmarks in Egypt especially in the governorates of Port Said, Ismailia and Suez, as part of preparing an archaeological project for Egypt. The director of the Center, Fathi Saleh, said the atlas aims to provide precise and detailed information about the archaeological sites in Egypt and drawing up a plan for excavation in every governorate. Saleh said the project is an important step to protect the country's monuments.
