These non-Europeans' accounts of travel between 5th and 19th centuries offer non-Western perceptions of the foreign countries visited eg. a merchant from Baghdad reports on a Viking funeral in 922 AD, an African-Arab princess tells of her time in Europe in 1881, a Chinese emissary describes Angkor in 1298, and a Korean official kept a diary of his nine months spent in China.
