Launching of first touristic sea transportation service between Lebanon and Cyprus

The first touristic sea transportation service between Tripoli in North Lebanon and Famagusta on Turkish side in Cyprus was launched on Tuesday. The launching took place in the presence of Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon Serdar Kilic. The ship departs from Tripoli port on Thursday morning, makes a stopover at the Syrian port city of Afamia before heading to Famagusta and then returning to Lebanon on Monday night. The touristic company, which has launched the service, is considering the launching of another between Tripoli and the Turkish city of Mersin in a voyage, which would last for a week. / Quelle: Now Lebanon

LEBANON: TOURISM MARITIME LINE WITH SYRIA, TURKISH CYPRUS

BEIRUT - A tourist maritime line was inaugurated today between Lebanon, Syria and the Turkish part of Cyprus, the official Lebanese Nna news agency said. A liner from the US-based Prime Tours company will depart once a week from the northern Lebanese port city of Tripoli to Famagusta in the northern part of the Turkish side of Cyprus via Syriàs Lattakia port, the Nna said. It is the first time the Tripoli commercial maritime facility is used for tourism. A similar line existed in the 1980s between Junieh port, north of Beirut, and Larnaka in the Greek part of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. / Quelle: ANSAmed
