Libya to host tourist and cultural festival

The first edition of the tourist and cultural festival in Tripoli will take place in late April, organizers announced on Wednesday. The three-day event will be set against the background of the spaces and decorat ions of the old Medina area in Tripoli. Within this framework, the president of the Tripoli section of the Libyan Tourism Promotion Association, Chérif Al-Jouili, recently met with the delegates of several public companies, institutions, Libyan banks and specialists to discuss preparations for the launch of the festival. According to the online newspaper, Oyia, this meeting led to the setting up of technical sub-committees and programmes for the festival. Among the activities planned alongside the festival are a conference on tourism, whose main thrust is tourist investment in Libya.
