Autobahn von Tunis bis Sfax ist fertig. Derzeit wird geprüft, ob die Autobahn bis Ras Adir weitergebaut wird.


TUNISIA: TUNIS-SFAX MOTORWAY COMPLETED

TUNIS - The motorway connecting Tunis and Sfax, an important industrial city 240 kilometres south of the capital, is already operational. In the past days the works on the M'Saken-Sfax stretch (98 km), which started in August 2004 and cost 430 million dinars, were completed. The new road, apart from easing the traffic on the ordinary roads and allowing faster connections, also leads to considerable advantages for tourism locations including, for example, Mahdia, thanks to five junctions. A six-kilometre link road unites the exit of Sfax north to the city centre. The new stretch, divided into two parts (M'Saken-El Jem and El Jem-Sfax), was inaugurated by Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. Now the project to continue that motorway to Ras Jdir, on the Libyan border, is under study. It is expected to be connected to the coastal motorway which is planned to cross whole Libya.

Hi zusammen,
zumindest für all jene, die direkt nach der Fähre nach Douz etc. wollen, ist die neue Autobahn ein Segen. Sie ist aber noch nicht komplett ausgestattet - zum Guten und zum Schlechten:
Gut weil die Zahlstellen noch nicht fertig gebaut sind und demzufolge auch nicht in Betrieb.
Schlecht, weil es noch keine neuen Tankstellen gibt auf der Strecke! Also unbedingt volltanken in der Raststätte Grombalia oder spätestens derjenigen zwischen Hammamet und Enfidha.

Wir haben auf der Rückreise von in Deutschland lebenden Tunesiern erfahren, daß der neue Autobahnabschnitt auch noch 2009 kostenlos sein soll.

Die Autobahn von Sfax nach Tripolis soll von den Libyern bezahlt werden.
Ob das allerdings stimmt?

TUNISIA; WORK ON SFAX-GABES MOTORWAY IN 2009

TUNIS - Work in the construction of the stretch of motorway between Sfax and Gabes (southern Tunisia) are to begin next year. The project is part of the national plan, including the connecting of the governorates of Kairouan, Kasserine, Sidi Bouzid and Gafsa to the motorway network, which should extend over 1,200 kilometres by 2016, compared to its present 359.

Mit den Bauarbeiten des Autobahnabschnitts Sfax-Gabes soll im November begonnen werden,
Fertigstellung ist für September 2012 geplant.
Des Weiteren soll in Kürze eine 3. Spur (in beide Richtungen) auf dem AB-Abschnitt Tunis-Hammamet gebaut werden:

und gestern wurde die Brücke La Goulette - Rades vom Staatspräsidenten eingeweiht. Ratz-fatz nach Süden also. Wer sich Zeit nehmen will, kann ja immer noch eeeeeeeeeeerst nach Korsika, dann nach Sardiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinien und evtl. via Siziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilien nach Tuneeeeeeeeeeeeesien. Gut?

TUNIS Examination of the engineering bids for the construction of the motorway from the resort of Sfax to Gabe in southern Tunisia will begin tomorrow, officials say. Work building in the artery is planned to start in November and to last three years. The new motorway will be 155 kms long and will cost an estimated 817 million dinars or 422 million euros with financing from the Tunisian state and the European Investment Bank (EIB). Other work, widening existing highways, will be undertaken in September on the motorway from Tunis to Hammamet, one of the most congested in the north African country especially in the high tourist season. A third lane will be built on both carriageways in two phases - from Tunis to Turki and from Turki to Hammamet South, requiring 20 months' work at an estimated cost of 55 million dinars (some 28 million euros).

TUNISIA: SFAX-GABES HIGHWAY, WORKS TO BEGIN SOON

TUNIS - Works for the 152-kilometre section of the highway which is to connect Sfax to Gabes will begin next month and are expected to be finalised in March 2013. In making the announcement, the president of Tunisie Autoroutes, Lofti Brahem, said that Tunisian and foreign enterprises were interested in the construction. For this section of the highway, which is to facilitate connections between the north and the south with positive effects on tourism and trade, credit worth 817 million dinars (about 422 million euros) have been activated.

Hier wird die Autobahn 3-spurig ausgebaut.

Dafür ist für die Strecke Sousse-Sfax wie schon 2009 auch z.Zt. noch keine Autobahngebühr zu bezahlen, die Zahlstellen sind teilweise Fertig und auch schon wieder Beschädigt.

gibt es eine aktuelle Strassenkarte, auf der die neuen Autobahnen eingezeichnet sind?
Michelin, Marco Polo oder so?

Hallo Syncro-Tom,

mindestens die aktuelle Michelin 743 (Algérie Tunisie) zeigt die Autobahn bis Sfax korrekt. Die neueste 744 (Tunisie) habe ich mir nicht angesehen, die mir zur Verfügung stehende zeigt die Autobahn noch gestrichelt. Beim Blick (in der Buchhandlung) auf die Marokko-Karte 742 fiel mir auf, dass auch dort enorm viele neue Autobahn-Km entstanden sind.

Und auch die aktuelle RKH-Karte Algerien hat die tunes. Autobahn bis Sfax eingetragen, obwohl das ja eigentlich nicht mehr Thema der Karte ist.
